Endorsement: Sitting on It

What should I do?
I sit and wait
To see
What will happen next,

For if ‘I’
Does not decide,
Then there’s no need
To try,

Activity will arise,
Is arising continuously
And yet
Nothing is happening,

There is
No becoming,
No arising
And no passing,

Nevertheless,
There is action
And inaction,
Coming and going,

Together,
They nullify each other,
All is still
And everything is moving,

And so,
Movement and stillness
Are inseparable,
As are decision and indecision;

I await the settling
And when the water clears,
There’s nothing left but water molecules
Dancing and motionless.
