Basics: Mundane Verities

After decades of trying to understand reality, I’ve only gone from:
“I need to figure this out,” to “It’s impossible to know,” to “I don’t know whether it’s possible to know or not.”

But there are a few certainties, such as,
The refrigerator does not fill itself,
Nor does the bank account spontaneously grow,
Neither does the dishwasher self-load!

Reality may unfold on its own,
But laundry does not fold itself.
Awakening may be instantaneous,
But learning how to live is not!
